Making ingots seems, at first, to be a way to earn some gold in this world. But now, I've been asking around and checking for myself, and absolutely no one buys them.

It depends on the ingots. Gold, silver and brass are all highly sought ingots, and you won't have trouble moving them at all... or shouldn't, at least, unless you're charging ridiculously high prices for them. I know, however, that Feste will pay up to 1200 gold for a single gold ingot, and he'd buy as many as he could at once. UGrabMyDrumstick 17:10, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Gold, mithral and adamantine are worth good money, to some extent silver (not so much as the others). 1,200 for a gold ingot is a ridiculously low price given the effort it takes to just get the materials. You earn twice to thrice that amount just running the kobold caves.
